Next, immerse in Rioja wine country, where wine is a way of life. Learn about the long wine making tradition, visit amazing little villages from Middle Ages and discover some of the best wines the region has to offer visiting boutique and family-run wineries off-the -beaten path.

Continue to Ribera de Duero wine region producing some of the most complex and flavorful red wines in Spain. Enjoy fantastic views of ancient castles and taste wines at different wineries.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

Private transfer from Bilbao airport to your hotel in San Sebastian. Private City tour. During our stroll through the Old Town’s vibrant streets, experience the city’s food culture having a pintxos lunch/dinner at different bars as the locals do.Accommodation in San Sebastian

Day 2

Take part in a Basque cooking class and learn to prepare a selection of dishes using fresh produce from nearby villages. Visit the market to shop for the day’s menu, and upon your return, work next to a chef preparing Basque dishes that smack of the season. Enjoy what you have cooked with a delicious lunch and wine pairings. Accommodation in San Sebastian

Day 3

Visit Getaria, a picturesque fishing village on the coast where we will have a walk to discover it secrets and have a winery tour and tasting of wine and local products at a Txakoli winery. A local wine produced only in this part of Spain. For lunch, enjoy a grilled fresh fish at one of the local restaurants near the sea. After lunch, time to visit a traditional cheese farm with a tasting of Idiazabal cheese and local cider. Accommodation in San Sebastian

Day 4

Check- out and drive to Rioja for a private wine tour in the wine country. Visit 3 wineries of different styles and enjoy a food experience married with wine at one of them . Accommodation in Rioja

Day 5

Private wine tour in Rioja. Explore the medieval streets of Laguardia with a walking tour. We will visit 2 wineries, one of them with caves and cellars from Middle Ages where you will immerse yourself in the past of Rioja wine. Enjoy a gourmet lunch with a tasting menu at one of our favourite restaurants in the region. Accommodation in Rioja

Day 6

Head to Ribera del Duero. Visit Aranda de Duero and discover an historical medieval underground winery from the 15th century and a family-run winery with tastings and lunch with some local products paired with wines. Accommodation in Ribera de Duero.

Day 7

Visit to Peñafiel with an impressive castle, which also houses a wine museum and taste some of the most finest wines of Ribera at 2 wineries of different styles. Today, have a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.Accommodation in Ribera de Duero.

Day 10

Transfer to Madrid
